When our own Luthier Stijn Kenens and our own guitar aficionado Walter Broes put their heads together to assemble a custom guitar, you can bet it's going to be something sweet and special!
This guitar is modeled after Ry Cooder's own heavily customized Stratocaster, known affectionately among fans as "the Coodercaster".
This custom features :
-New Old Stock reissue Fender Coronado neck with vintage Kluson style Gotoh tuners
-Solid Alder body finished in urethane gold metallic
-Mojo pickups UK Supro Style string through lapsteel lead pickup
-Mojo pickups UK Teisco style Gold Foil neck pickup
-CTS pots, switchcraft jack and Oak Grigsby threeway switch
-Custom-cut faux-tortoise pickguard
-Wilkinson bridge with pop-in arm and steel block
As you'd expect, this guitar obviously excels as a slide/bottleneck instrument, and it doesn't dissappoint!
