Description

THE ATN-5

The idea behind the ATN circuitry which is fitted to all of our RJT range was to basically add modern day versatility to what is essentially a retro styled instrument.

We understand that the demands of the modern day musician are greater now than ever before, with such a huge crossover of musical genres needing to be covered tonally. Whether you’re in a covers bands looking to authenticate sounds from the 60’s/70s/80’s etc or a studio tech looking for the perfect tone to accompany modern electronic synthesis, versatility is paramount.

For the live musician that has to carry 4 or 5 guitars to cover a given live set, we wanted to try to help them reduce their armoury somewhat by developing a workhorse that could cover most musical genres…a little like having a shampoo and a conditioner all in one.

Below we’ve listed the settings of the ATN-5 where we feel that the switching best suits the musical genre but we must be crystal clear with this in that the tones that we’re hearing through a flat lined Jet City JCA-20 HV valve amp may be very different to those of you coming through a Marshall JTM-30 or a Vox AC-30 or indeed through the monitors of a HP laptop. There will always be a period of trial and error to find the tone that best suits your individual amp/effects unit set up so please bear this in mind.

There are certain hidden settings you can achieve by simply rolling back the volume and tone controls or both. We’re certain that there’ll be something in there to suit all genres and setups.
