This hot reissue retains many of the original stylish features, while upgrades include a pair of Vintage 50s single coil lipstick pickups with original USA wiring. Like the originals back in the 1950s, the company's flagship tone is enhanced with sand-cast and then sand-blasted Alnico 6 magnets housed within thin wall 80/20 brass/zinc tubes, delivering a warm open low-end, searing mids and even more high-end classic Dano chime and clarity. It goes without saying, the 59 Divine, with a slick neck and smooth 21 fret rosewood fingerboard, plays like a dream, while a fully adjustable bridge, precision cut bone nut and straight string pull to Gotoh vintage 15:1 machine heads, offers accurate tuning and intonation. We've left the cosmetics until last, as it's not just the symbolic sparkly clean jangle that inspires so many guitar players around the world to own a Danelectro, it is of course the cool looks and the unmistakable art-deco guise.
