This stunning black Eastman PCH3-Grand Auditorium Electro Acoustic is where the PCH line stops being polite and starts getting a little sharper around the edges. Maple back and sides, full gloss finish, onboard electronics—this isn’t your “practice guitar.” This is your “don’t mess up, you’re on” guitar.
Let’s start with the body: Grand Auditorium with a cutaway. Still the diplomat—but now it’s dressed for the evening shift. Balanced enough for fingerstyle, strong enough for strumming, and comfortable whether you’re on stage or pretending your living room is one.
The top is solid Sitka spruce—clear, responsive, and dependable. It does exactly what you ask of it, which sounds nice until you realize… it does exactly what you ask of it. Play well, it rewards you. Play sloppy, it documents everything.
And then there’s the maple.
Laminated flamed maple back and sides, to be precise. Maple doesn’t do warm hugs. It does clarity, speed, and definition. Tight low end, bright top, and note separation that puts every string under a spotlight. It’s the kind of tone that cuts through a mix—and occasionally through your ego.
Full TrueTone gloss finish? Of course. This one wants to be seen. Under lights, on stage, in situations where “good enough” isn’t.
And yes—it plugs in. Eastman’s onboard pickup system (with Fishman DNA) keeps things simple: clear signal, usable tone, no fiddling while the audience waits.
