Some guitars are happy to play nice. The Fret-King Corona Classic prefers to have a little more fun.

Dressed in gorgeous Firenza Red, this eye-catching double-cutaway combines timeless vintage styling with some seriously clever engineering courtesy of legendary guitar designer Trev Wilkinson. And there's a lot more going on here than meets the eye.

The secret weapon? A wonderfully versatile pickup combination featuring a Fret-King Fifty-Five humbucker in the bridge position and two Vintage Sixty single coils in the middle and neck. Think sparkling vintage cleans, funky in-between tones and chunky, full-bodied humbucker growl. That's a pretty impressive tonal passport.

And then there's the clever Varicoil control. This nifty little feature progressively transforms the bridge humbucker into a single-coil pickup, taking you from muscular rock tones to crisp, vintage-flavoured sparkle. One guitar, an awful lot of personalities.

The comfortable Soft C maple neck, smooth Indian rosewood fingerboard and 10" radius make it a pleasure to play, while the Wilkinson WV6 vibrato bridge, Graph Tech nut and locking tuners help keep everything where it should be – including your tuning.

In short, the Corona Classic is a seriously versatile workhorse wrapped in a rather irresistible red suit. From blues and funk to pop, indie and good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll, it's ready for just about anything you throw at it.
