The Iris D-WH in Iced Tea Burst — a square-shoulder dreadnought that feels like it stepped straight out of a late-’40s recording session. It’s lightly built, incredibly responsive, and has that dry, woody voice Iris has become known for — the kind of tone that sounds like a guitar with a story already built in.

This one pairs an Adirondack spruce top with Indian rosewood back and sides, which gives you the best of both worlds: headroom, punch, and clarity from the Adirondack, with the deep low end and blooming overtones of rosewood. It’s a powerful guitar when you dig in with a flatpick, but it’s just as impressive played lightly — open, dynamic, and very alive under the right hand. The long 25.5" scale keeps the bass tight and focused, and the scalloped Adirondack bracing gives the top a ton of movement and responsiveness.

This is, in practice, a very worthy D28 competitor, with a slightly sweeter voice, but all the power and projection you could wish for.
